Dinners On-the-Go

Bento box 2.jpg

Well, I’m sharing another tip for busy lives as we are on day 7 of having an activity every night, and we have another 7 days until we have a night with no games… practice, but no games:)

So, here is my #1 thing for meals on the go, it’s What’s For Dinner? These bento boxes are awesome for picnics, lunch at the park or zoo, school field trips, work lunches, etc. https://amzn.to/2PzjOyc

Here are some of our favorite things to fill it with:

Turkey sandwiches on Hawaiian rolls (these rolls fit better in the box than sandwich bread)

PB& J’s on Hawaiian rolls

Carrots and veggie dip

Pretzels and humus

Trail mix

Apples and PB cups

Grapes, strawberries, kiwi fruit, blueberries, cuties...any fruit you like

Crackers with sliced cheese

Almonds, mixed nuts

Fruit pouch

Celery, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, edamame, snap peas...any veggie you like

Homemade granola bars (I’ll share our recipe next week)

A yummy muffin (Garden Lites - Veggies Made Great - is one of my favorites, if you don’t have time (or the desire:)) to make muffins)

If your box can be refrigerated: I like hard boiled eggs, or chicken salad with crackers, yogurt with granola

Happy Bento-boxing!
