Dream Boards 2021

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is on Monday, January 18th and when the kids are out of school, we talk about the reason for the holiday (including the "I Have a Dream speech") and we make "Dream" Boards (vision boards).  If you want to join us, here are the supplies you'll need.

Poster board

Glue sticks

Scissors

Magazines or newspapers to cut up

Markers

Stickers

Computer or iPad to search for pictures (if you don't have magazines to cut up)

Color printer and paper

If you've never made a Vision Board, here is a great article I found. I really like the way it is explained! https://bit.ly/2LUF5A2

Dream Boards 2021 complete. My takeaway from this (which I think I have every year) is that it might not go how I visualize it in my head (kids full of enthusiasm begging to spend more time on this project), but it makes everyone think, it teaches them other ways to work toward their goals and it makes us reflect on this holiday, appreciating Martin Luther King Jr. for all he did to make this world a better place.
